Hi Jim,
First, make sure filters are enabled by going into the menu:
Options->Global Preferences->Actions and make sure
'Use filters when possible' is checked.
Now, a popup menu appears in the 'list' view of the database. The menu
is
in the middle of the screen and at the bottom, and should say 'No
Filter'.
Click on this, then click 'Edit Filters...' Now you can define filters
just as you define views. Click 'New' then define a filter just as you
would search for a particular set of records. Once this has been done,
you can re-run that search in the list view simply by selecting the
appropriate filter from the popup menu.
