But why don't you use the already compiled version?

Oh, sorry, my mistake.

I haven't read that you were talking about the pilot-db-tool.
I haven't found binary packages of them too.

But are you sure that they are intented to be compiled in and form
Windows?
Unfortunately I don't know much about compiling. The source seems to
be more than two years old, perhaps you need different software to be 
able to compile ist. Is there perhaps a note about it in the readme or
somewhere else in the package?

If compiling doesn't work perhaps you want to use wine, qemu or
vmware. 
On the links page of pilot-db you find a link to jpilot-db , a java
applikation which can handle pilot-db databases.

I did not try compiling this recently, but had no problem last time I
tried. I also have a patch (waiting to be integrated some day when I
have time) that helps keep filters/scripts.

Hi Mathieu,

I found the jpilot-db-1.3.17-ej.jar on the site of Trevor (on sourceforge it stops at version 1.3.15-ej.jar). After download i tried it on my G4 at work: it works fine on OSX (and even faster than the 1.3.15 version!)

Do you have the latest Java-distribution for your Debian-system????

If you encounter any problems: contact Trevor. He will ask a copy of your db-pilot files in the backup folder of your PalmOs pda.

with me it was not the application itself, but the db-pilot files in my backup folder, wich needed some repair or so.
