I've found that if the screen is not filled (no scroll arrows), you can select the last record. But if the screen is full and you have to scroll to vue the last record, it is not selectable. So, I just reorder by another criteria or change the order type to get it elsewhere :-)))))))))))))))) Fab. |

Thanks for the quick answers :-) I've already said to Marc the good job he's doing, but I don't remember telling you how great the calculated field is. It's so cool to have a strong scripting language rather than those weird clicking things where you can't do what you want because the designer of the prog hasn't just imagined what's in your mind... > Now, when scripts are redefined, they should be re-run on the database > automatically. Well, cool I didn't see that parameter. Ok. For people who asked a few days ago, even if the stable release is still 0.3.3d, I didn't come back to it after the last testing phase and sticked to the 0.3.4beta5 for real life. I got some strange crashes (without more informations, I really worked :-) even one where my base disapeared, replaced by an uncategorized DBOStmp database that I just renamed to the good name without loosing data. But features are too cool, I cannot wait anymore :-) Fab. |

I'm definitely getting the last record error, both in the list view, and when you have a list view selection for a linked table. Also Beta 5 crashes on exit fairly consistently, and I have dropped back to 3.3 (sorry) -----Original Message----- From: Fab [mailto:kr...@bi...] Sent: Tuesday, 12 February 2002 4:23 To: Pil...@li... I'm about ready to do the same. I especially miss the global search, actually the db is pretty worthless for me with out that feature. Also any details about when or how db fails are extremely important. If you can cut down the time we spend trying to reproduce an error, we have a lot more time to spend going about fixing it. I have taken care of the last record error in the list view, and some (I believe all) of the problems with global search, but I don't really know any of the details behind the other errors you mention. Thanks for testing, Scott |

But the crash > > still happened. > > Can you give me more information on these? I can't duplicate the > first one yet. > Well, I can't reproduce the first one any longer. I think it was related with the DBDatabase.pdb file : when I changed the first time from 0.3.3d to 0.3.4 I lost the categories infos. Then I reinstalled 0.3.3d and a few days after tried the new 0.3.4. I got the same behaviour but this time I didn't recreate the missing informations. So I played with a desynchronized (in some way) DBDatabase.pdb and DB.prc. I got the problem. Now that I have deleted and recreate the DBDatabase.pdb it seems ok. Can't tell you more, I keep studying the case :-) The second one is not currently reproducible (Don't know the right word : I can't reproduce it). Since yesterday, I played with 0.3.4beta5 without any problems, using calculated fields in real life databases. Soon I'll create more bases with ideas I get since some weeks... Fab. |
