Great program at an even better price!!! When ya'all get some spare time, I have a couple of feature requests. 1) Store a default multi-column sort order with Listview settings. 2) Allow null dates. =/\= Rich sch...@us... |

What I need is a software that I can use to keep up with people. Put in a name and note. Then each time I make additional contact, I want to add onto my notes about this person. > Dick > > |

I just stumbled upon this software. I think that this will work well = for the creation of databases for my profession. However I just = installed this and it was not in English. Can you tell me how to = install this in English and what all I need to install to make this as = functional as possible.=20 Thank you John Moore |

Hi all and especially developers of Pilot-DB, There is usually some overlapping between the functions of a database and e.g. a spreadsheet: Simple database tasks can be done using a spreadsheet and simple spreadsheet tasks can be done using a database. But there's enough tasks left where a coupling between them would be nice. AFAIK up to now all applications and programming environments on the palm supply their own data storage facilities and databases (like pilot-db) try to supply programming facilities. So what about providing a (hig level) programming api on the Palm to enable other (Palm-) applications and first of all programming environments (for example SmallBasic) to access (pilot-db) databases. Ofcouse the developers of those other applications need to be invited to join, so which should be addressed? See you, Uwe |

Writing them might be - I haven't tried. But I can make my lispme package for reading Pilot-db databases available if anyone wants it. =09<mike --=20 Mike Meyer <mw...@mi...>=09=09http://www.mired.org/consulting.html Independent WWW/Perforce/FreeBSD/Unix consultant, email for more inform= ation. |

In <Pin...@my...>, Scott Wallace <swa...@my...> typed: > Yea, lisp. I'd be interested in a copy ;) It can be downloaded from <URL: http://www.mired.org/downloads/palm/ >. I've also put my food database there, for anyone interested in playing with the experimental very large database support code in the current betas. <mike -- Mike Meyer <mw...@mi...> http://www.mired.org/consulting.html Independent WWW/Perforce/FreeBSD/Unix consultant, email for more information. |
