I know what you mean.  I've tried my best to get DB listed on PilotGear
as a pre-req, but they couldn't figure out what I meant <smile>...

My suggestion was going to be TDB or tdb, but I think I like TBase better.
Actually, I think I like TeeBase best of all - less of an acronymy look.

You might want to do a web search or a trademark search on whatever name
you come up with, to make sure nobody else is using it.  (Hmmm...  Come
to think of it, I suggest you call it "Office 2000". :-)

This one I like - TBase even more than TFile, as usually (?) one database
is conceived as one file, thus there would be more than one file.

I was looking on memoware.com in their file formats section and they
mention DB along with the quote "although poorly named". Then I got to
thinking about it and they are right. The name is everything in terms of
making people notice the project.

Yeah, plus it sounds a little lame.

I thought of another one:

Atad (Data backwards. Now it would be cooler if I could do such thing with
a non-English version of the word.)

Hello,

	You could also do something where the phonics remain very close to
DeeBee, or Database, and only the spelling changes.

Maybe like:
	DBee
	DataAce
	DatAce
	DeeBe

heh....:

Netad
= Daten

which again means 'data' (though 'daten' could refer also to dates of the
calendar, but as this is the same in english, that could work).

TBase is still my favorite though.

I'm not very good with names and I took the path of least resistance in
regards to the name. If I did a spreadsheet, it would probably be called
"Spread" or "SpreadSheet".

The name can't have Palm in it though since Palm Computing doesn't like
that for some reason.

My own suggestions:

HandFile - too close to HandDBase probably

TBase or TFile (or TeeBase)- if I were vain or egotistical, then I could
use my initials in the name :)

InfoGlove - 'cause it stores info and it fits in your hand like a glove
does. (this one may work actually, thoughts?)

SuperDB - since I am so super :) (probably in the same vain as TBase) (pun
intended)
