Dirk, I'm not sure if I understand your question, but Pilot-dB synchronizes between Palm devices and PCs.  I'm not familiar enough with OSX, but if you can synch a Palm with your Mac, you should be able to synch a pilot-dB database.



I don't know how you are using Filemaker, but there is another piece of software for the desktop that can read/manipulate pilot-dB databases.  DB-Editor (www.jakewalk.de) can open and display your pilot-dB files in a spreadsheet-like format.  It can also export the data in a variety of formats, including CSV, Excel, Word, and ASCII, so if you absolutely needed to get the information into Filemaker, you might be able to import one of those formats.

Hi,I wondered wether this DB kan be exported to a simular database soft like filemaker and wether i would sunc it with my desktop (mac OSX). I would use it to keep track of my read articles (PhD science) and am currently using filemaker mobile but it has to few possibilities and difficulties with the different functions of filemaker pro on the desktop. If it is not possible to sync it with filemaker pro (7), it good enough if there is a open source database desktop soft.

I don't know if you need the features I'm thinking about, but it seems to be pretty extensive on the pilot DB version.To sum it up: I need a book/article database programma to keep track of books/articles and I need to sync it with my ibook OSX (filemaker or other). Is there for instance a possibility to use the open source 'books' for mac OSX (
