[pilot-db-list] problems restoring from backup

I apologize if I've missed the answer to this in a FAQ file somewhere 
- I did my best to find it!

I've used PilotDB in the past, but haven't used it for a while 
because of a problem I kept having. Whenever my PDA crashed and I 
restored all the backed-up databases, they wouldn't work correctly. I 
believe I couldn't even open the databases themselves because they 
were "not found", even though seemingly the file for each DB and the 
master index file were backed up and then restored.

Has this been a known bug in the past? Has it been fixed now? Or is 
there a workaround?
