I've used pilot-db for several years for several databases of varying sizes and have only good to say about it. It runs nicely on my Tungsten E. A recent bug in the sort functionj was fixed in about a month and didn't damage data. I'd also recommend the DB-Editor program (www.jakewalk.de) for desktop manipulation of databases. You should use the most recent stable release and avoid beta versions if working with valuable data.
