I agree it can be useful, but I am not sure it would be much faster than
using pgup/pgdn keys, which move a page (10 records) by default. It takes
only a few seconds to scroll through a 1000 records db with them (tried).
I also have no idea how much work it would be to implement this.
I suggest that you try to create some useful filters on your data - I
can't imagine you use the entire set of 1500 records uniformly, without
any filterable behaviour. I have a patch pending to make the filter
selection window much bigger, to allow easier selection.
