Hello --- I've been busy with other matters for the last couple weeks, but should have a few evenings to spend on pilot-db this weekend. After several iterations with a development release based on the CVS code, we still have some showstopper bugs. After due consideration, I've decided to abandon the current CVS version and revert to code of the previous release. When I started on this, I hadn't realized that the CVS was not actually being used for development, and that the version in there was Scott's personal version and had split off prior to the last release. So in addition to the untested code (which I presumed would include some worthwhile bug fixes) it turns out that the CVS code actually lacks fixes already made in the release code. My immediate plan is to create a CVS branch called "Scott", wipe out all the files in CVS, check in the 1.1.0 release code as the Head, and start making updates from there. If anyone knows of a better way to do a reversion like this with CVS, prompt advice would be appreciated. Thanks, and hoping to move on to actual development shortly, --nate |
