I tried using DB-Editor as well. The PDB appeared correctly in = DB-Editor, but the list field types still didn't display correctly. -Shane ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Kelly Shane Harrelson=20 To: pil...@li...=20 Sent: Tuesday, August 26, 2003 5:19 PM Subject: [pilot-db-list] trouble with the List Field Type I'm using Pilot-DB v1.0.4 and Palm-DB-Tools v0.3.6. I've tried creating a PDB containing a list of the injured players in the NCAA ACC conference. One of the fields, the team name, is of type list, and should be one of: field "Team" list "Clemson/Duke/Florida State/Georgia = Tech/Maryland/North Carolina/NC State/Virginia/Wake Forest"=20 When I look at the PDB on my Visor Pro, everything looks correct,=20 except for the records for the following players: "1","Virginia","LB","Dennis Haley","NCAA","Expected to miss Saturday's = game." "1","Wake Forest","RB","Chris Barclay","hamstring","Questionable." Both players appear with a blank team name. I checked the header in the PDB, and the list field for team name=20 appeared to be correct. I also checked the records for=20 the two players above, and they had the correct item id for=20 their respective list entries. So I don't think the problem lies with = the db-tools, but with Pilot-DB. Also, when I exit this PDB on my handheld, I get a "Fatal Abort" message: MemoryMgr.c, Line:4450, Invalid chunk ptr. The attached ZIP contains the following files, referenced above: 2003_NCAA_ACC_team_injured.csv - my raw data 2003_NCAA_ACC_team_injured.nfo - the info file used to create the PDB 2003_NCAA_ACC_team_injured_d.pdb - the actual PDB. Any help would be appreciated. -Shane Harrelson |
