[pilot-db-list] Synchronizing DB files?

I'm considering a Linux application to synch data from a DB file into a 
Postgresql database.  I need to know what the parameters are for the UniqueID 
that is part of the PDB file format.  Does this UniqueID ever change for a 
given record?

Is this the accepted means of uniquely identifying a record for synch 
purposes?
