re" 2. copy-paste in note fields" - I had this problem once, but was unable= to repeat it. -----Original Message----- From: pil...@li... [mailto:pil...@li...]On Behalf Of Fabrice Noilhan Sent: Saturday, 12 April 2003 2:57 To: pil...@li... Subject: [pilot-db-list] some ideas Hi, Thanks for this great app! using pilotdb (1.1b2) for a couple a months, I have some suggestions, yet= not the time to start to implement them. I may have missed some obvious tricks, so feel free to comment these ideas! 1. "set" instruction It would be nice if one could use scripts to set fields. For instance, I have a todo-list database. I would like to ease my work using views: a normal view and a special "to be done today" view. With a script, I would like to be able to set the deadline to today when I create a new record using the "to be done today" view. 2. copy-paste in note fields I am not able to use copy-paste in note fields. Doing this would be quite convenient.=20 3. Title and note fields I do not fully understand the "make first line title" checkbox. When I check this while writing a note, it works. But the status of this checkbox does not seem to be stored anywhere thus creating some=20 synchronisation issues.=20 So I would rather prefer to have in the note field a first line labelled "title" which I could fill or not. Moreover it is difficult to know whether a note is empty or not. Wouldn't it be possible to have something to show that? 4. link with Datebook and Todolist I enjoy the addressbook plugin and would appreciate the above-mentioned plugins as well! 5. Bug-report? Using a list component, with defaults value A, B and C, I can create numerous records and run a "report" on this field. Say 8 A, 4 B, 3 C, 0= Other. I add then another possible value "D" to the list field, rebuild the=20 database. Then adding 1 "D" record and running report again. It reports 8 A, 4 B, 3 C and 1 Other.=20 Rescanning the base does not help.
