When you're in the database properties screen, and want to modify the list 
entries, select 'properties' from the menu tab on the /LEFT/ side of the 
field.  In the current versions of db if you reselect 'List' as the field 
type to enter the properties dialog, your list will be deleted.  I believe 
I have modified this in for the 1.1 Beta 2 (which is not quite ready 
yet...)
