This preserves all your data and calls all your apps after starting (that's why, for instance, you will see HackMaster or McPhling pop up and ask about reenabling). 2) Warm reset. Hold pageup while pressing reset. This preserves all your data but does NOT call all your apps. This is useful for getting rid of a problem app. Warm reset, delete the app, then hot reset. 3) Cold reset. Hold power while pressing reset. You will get a final prompt and then your data will be erased. The device is then as if it was fresh from the factory. I suspect a warm reset would have enabled you to get rid of the DB-mid program without losing the contents of your device. --Hal |
