I did find a blurb about setting the file to read-only in the DB-Tools manual, but what that actually does is make the file read-only in the sense you can't delete it from the palm (well, you can if you have a tool such as fileman or something similar). On thinking about the database a bit more (two glossaries in my case - you'll find them in the databases section of the pilot-db sourceforge site), I've come to the conclusion that it would be OK for users to be able to add/delete/update whatever records they like, so I guess this probably isn't even an issue with me anymore :-) What I *REALLY* want, as I stated in my original posting (second question), is a way to put an 'about' dialog box for each individual database (such as who to write/complain to, etc). I've recently added two of these databases to a couple of download sites, and although there is a way for people to contact me through these sites, it would be great for them to be able to see an email or web address somewhere within the DB.
