I myself would not like the current UI to be changed. But I see the (nonstandard) point. It surely is possible to add the usual=20 'mark and select operation from menu' way of doing things. I've seen it already in an other Pilot Application. But I think it will be quite a bit of work. It seems to me that this mailing list is becoming=20 more and more something that I would call a newsgroup. In newsgroups you have a collection of past postings when you newly subscribe and it's good practice, to=20 post a FAQ from time to time. In a mailing list new subscriber don't have a clue what's happened before they subscribed to the list. So there's two more questions from me: 1. Would the mailing list readers think it appropriate to receive a FAQ from time to time? 2. Would it be better to create a newsgroup for pilot DB and restrict the mailing list to developers, doc writers, etc. There already is a hierarchy pilot.* so we could try and get something like =84pilot.applications.database.pilot-db=93 up and running.
