[pilot-db-list] help, new to palm os and db

I just installed the DB.3.3c on my HS Platinum , at the moment I have
one database  which will consist of a maximum of 900 standby power
supplieshow do I get this db onto the desktop app.? I have backup on
hotsync checked, but I'm missing something  because I don't see the db
saved  in the palm desk top.
I'm a complete newbie to this stuff , also do I have to export this to
a spreed sheet program or can I just print out what I need once I get
it into the desk top ?
