Better yet, just add "N/A" to the list of selections and you can get back t=
o the default this way.

Here's a work around:

Add the item "(none)" to your list selection.  This could be used as a filt=
er as easily as anything else.

No, it's impossible (change list items in the EditView).
I will not add that, now. Please put this feature request in the Tracker.
