I didn't catch this last night. If you enter a leading
0, it gets stored as the dec equivalent of the octal
value.
I don't see a problem with this actually, since it's
an int field, not an octal field and an int is a
decimal value. Also it's reasonable since I have hopes
that Marc will provide calculated fields at some point
down the road.
If for some reason you really need to store and octal
or hex value, why not use a text field?
