As long as a DB wish/wants list is up, here's mine at the moment:

1	float datatype
2	freeze display columns in record views
3	popup entries (the list type mentioned sounds like it)
4	column stats info, user defined, easier access (rather than plugins
menu)
5	calculated fields, extended, user-programmed calculations
6	NUL values permitted (num fields)
7	table pref or set to open/write for inline display edit
8	export to memo, save/export subset functions
9	faster!

I really like DB. The only alternative that compares (IMHO) is JFile5.
Still haven't figured out a use for the note datatype however.
