Hi, I have placed the rudiments of formal documentation into the docs directory on CVS (db_docs.lyx and db_docs.pdf). Since I am actively involved in the doc team of the Open Source document processor LyX (www.lyx.org), I have naturally chosen that to write with, though I can be convinced to use other things (but NOT MS Word!). I have converted it to PDF, so everyone else can read what I've done so far. It's _really_ rudimentary at this point - little more than a cat of README, building.txt, format.txt, and translating.txt. I next intend to paste in pieces of db.rcp, then add the converter documents. Then I hope to smooth it into a readable, useful document. :-) Let me know what you think (form, appearance, choice of LyX, etc.). I like and use db a lot (almost hourly at times), so I'd like to make a worthwhile contribution. Mike -- Mike Ressler mik...@al... OK, I'm lame: I don't have my own website ... |
