[pilot-db-list] pilot-db editing problems

1. If you edit a record and then press up or down to go to the next record
the changes you entered are lost. I think changes should be automatically
saved. If automatic, then there should be an option to enable/disable saving
changes automatically. If not automatically saved, then there should be a
message asking wether to keep the change.

2. I have also noticed some strange display problems (lines remaining bold,
small vertical lines appearing on the screen) if you edit a string field
that has almost the maximum number of characters in it.
