Since Pilot-DB opens MobileDB databases on the Pilot you could
have almost all features ( no views ) if you use MobileDB-Mac
to generate your data. I do not know the licence from MobileDB-Mac
but on their website they state:

MobileDB-Mac is free software and requires no purchase or registration

to me it does not seem to require the use of MobileDB
