Re: non-palm interfaces to DB I've been ruminating on the creation of just such a thing. Tom of course has a set of command line tools for converting csv + files to DB binary format and back. My thought was to take Tcl/Tk plus TkTable (a GUI extension providing a spreadsheet like interface) and to wrap around Tom's commands so that one could load the data into a spreadsheet (with perhaps a second window displaying the out of band information like column names, types, etc.). The tool would allow one to manipulate the data, then to generate a DB database from it. Unfortunately, my time has been so limited that I've been unable to date to begin the effort of writing the app. -- Never apply a Star Trek solution to a Babylon 5 problem. Larry W.
