[pilot-db-list] Security setting "Masked" is reset after opening database

Hi all.
I am new to pilot-DB. I found the following problem and can't see why it is happening:

When I set a database as 'private' and then set Options > Security: Mask Private Entries, then the database is really masked.
Then I open the database (with my password), close it again.
After that the database is unmasked again, and the 'Options' security setting is back to "Show entries"
Why does this happen and is there anything I am doing wrong?
I want the private databasese to be masked all the time.

My system info: 
PDA: Palm Centro
OS: Palm OS Garnet 5.4.9 (used in German)
pilot DB: DB v.1.0.3
