Luiz: I'm not a programmer, just a user, but generally rebuilding the database is a form of housekeeping. If you've deleted records over time the database will be untidy, with unused space slowing it down, etc. Rebuilding does what the word implies, by reconstructing the data table and repacking all the data into a cleaner, more efficient datafile. Sometimes a datafile gets corrupted and often a rebuild will fix the problem. You can get general info on this process by googling "rebuild database" or "rebuild palm database." As for why your Zire freezes, I have no idea. My Palm Tungsten never balks on rebuilding. I hope this is of some help. Hopefully, someone with more technical knowledge will also respond. -Michael Luiz Siqueira Neto wrote: > I don't know what "Rebuild DB" (Reconstruir BD - Portuguese) do, and I > don't find documents about this. > Another thing: When I execute this option my Palm Zire 21 freeze. > > Thanks about your time. > > Luiz Siqueira Neto > lui...@gm... > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference > Don't miss this year's exciting event.
