Pretty please tell me why I can't have more than one
note in a record? Is there any way to bend this rule
(even at the risk of being incompatible with any other
tool)?
I had a peek at the src and I don't see why...
Is it a file standard? Is it a hardware limitation?
I would much prefer 3 notes of 1000 characters each
than just ONE 3K.
If I can get the src to build, is there any way in heck
that I can beat this feature in? Or am I doomed and
should learn to live with it?
Cheers,
Fil

Agree! I would definitely want to know if there is any
(ANY) way to have more than one note field (sure, one note
should hold more letters than a string field). I have tried
to use DB-Editor, which allows me to make a "two note field"
database. When I upload it into my Clie, it is interesting
that pilot-dB can open it, but the some entry with second
note field truncated in an random fashion (meaning: the top
portion or the bottom portion may be disappered). Not
always the case, some entry can just remain intact.
Also, I tried to work around this by using link & linked
field. However, even the "linked field" is linking to a
note field in another database, still the linked field only
display the first line of the note only. :(
This really makes me scratch me head a lot. With the great
hi-resolution display in the list view and great VFS
support, I still can not use pilot-DB because of this
limitation. Please let us know if there is any solution!!!
Thanks!!

This is fairly strange! One can not create a databse with
multiple Note fields inside DB, but I can import such! I have
made a perl script which process a movie site. It creates files
transported to DB with 2 note fields in it... So it can be done
with a small trick. It has to be created by the program called
csv2pdb. I use it under cygwin. If somebody needs help I can
show examples how to do it!
