#115 Support for Symbol SPT series scanning palm-pilots

Is there any way support could be added for the Symbol
SPT series of Palm-Pilots? I have the Symbol SPT-1700
and would love to be able to use this software as a
database for barcodes to be scanned. That is, the
desired feature would allow the palm-pilot to be able
to scan a barcode and lookup a corresponding entry.

Yes! I just need a simple db with scanning support. The
commercial stuff either just don't cut it or just plain
overkill for what I need (not to mention the high cost for
what I need).
