#1 Update Pidgin status for all other protocols from Facebook

Presently there is a feature to set your Facebook status from the Pidgin status. This works as long as you always set your Facebook status from Pidgin. I commonly set my status from my cell phone, and next time I fire up Pidgin, it replaces my status with an old one. I would like a feature that is the opposite to read the Facebook status and replicate it as my Pidgin status. That way I can update Facebook and have all my other chat protocols share the same status.
