locked out and cause that message.
Scott -> Do you have more than one version of gaim installed perchance?
(there is no web auth setting, it is just that gaim 0.75 used that method
for yahoo authentication)

That would be rather hard. I use FreeBSD and have it installed via the
ports system, which handles upgrades. I upgraded to 0.76 like the day after
it came out, and have been connecting to Yahoo fine for a few weeks now.

gaim-0.76_1 Gtk+-2.0 open-source 'clone' of AOL's Instant Messenger
In fact... I have not so much as closed gaim since it was failing this
morning and started working again now. Hrmmmm....
