i disagree. expecting downstream packagers to security-fix your
software is a bit much. yes, redhat may have already done so, and
gentoo has done so, but failing to address security issues with a timely
bugfix release is irresponsible, in my opinion.
regardless, sf.net's usage stats show that quite a few people download
gaim directly from sf. if you think they shouldn't be, then that's your
