After several hours of bashing (that might be a pun, but it wasn't
really intended) my script around, WinGaim Build Environment Fetcher 1.0
is finally done. I doubt if many people subscribed to this list will
care, given this script is for Windows users, but it seemed like the
best place to announce the release.
I added a bunch of new features, as indicated in the ChangeLog:
I've tested the script pretty well and it seems to be very good at
setting up a clean, working build environment on Win32. I would
encourage people to recommend this script to any Windows plugin authors
or patch writers they run into (or over) that are asking about building
Gaim or build environment setup. Of course, any of the devs that need
to get a Win32 build environment set up for Gaim for some reason can use
this as well. :)
I also think it would be a great idea to add a mention of the script
near the top of the Win32 build instructions page. I know it's been
suggested in the past, but no one's ever actually done it. Poke to
Herman (if he's listening) or Datallah.
