Autoprofile looks to be a very useful plugin. Unfortunately, the maintainer appears to have been busy and has more or less let it slide. http://hkn.berkeley.edu/~casey/autoprofile/ - how much effort would be involved in making it work on the latest gaim? - is anyone able to do so? - does anyone know a better way to get in contact with the author and give them a friendly hassling? (on the site; contact info doesn't appear to reach them) I know I'd certainly love to make use of it... |

Another developer of autoprofile monitors gaim-devel, so he should be able to provide more detailed information at his will. I'll take a look at it in the next few days if I get some free time. A well structured plugin that provided this functionality would be of benefit to me, but I've lacked the time to research which would best fill my needs. There are other plugins designed to provide similar features, and what you're looking for may be better suited by one of those. If you take a look at http://sf.net/users/klugegod/ you should be able to find an email address for Casey. --Lee |

This will be done via the sf project since I am now a developer there as well. In any case, there is going to be a bit of leg work, so don't hold your breath expecting it to come out right when beta6 does ;) - -- Gary Kramlich <gr...@re...> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFrG8Pdf4lmqisgDIRArdwAJ9HJIYfwCFwvmXKiRMRj30sl8QgFgCfbPAl QARAcbdAsG4MO6iSoafz0K0= =k7Il -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
