I assume you mean you want it to _start_ automatically. back when gaim
could build as a panel applet, it also included code to talk to gnome's
session manager, that code has been removed and has not yet been
replaced in a windowmanager-agnostic way. i believe there is a way to
tell gnome to start gaim though.
