Some more smileys and a new attempt at Available. Less blobby. Anyone
know of a good way to represent "available"

Also, is the clock good for "away?" It seems to imply "idle" slightly
more for me, but I really like the clock.

I look at the clock and think idle.  I really like the notepad for
away, that speaks "away message" to me.

I've always disagreed with this. I like the clock for away. I have the
notepad icon replaced in my local copy of Gaim. We have greyness in the
buddy list to indicate idle, which is sufficient for my needs. Also, I
think at least one official client (MSN, IIRC) uses the clock for away.

A lot of this sort of iconography thing is going to come down to what
protocol you use. AIM users will want a notepad. MSN users will want a
clock. ICQ users will want something horrible.
