I've not been very involved in this whole discussion so far (mostly because I didn't feel like I had anything positive to add since I wasn't enamored with any of the suggestions but couldn't come up with something I liked better). "Pidgin" has grown on me - I'm beginning to actually like it. I don't like cohort (not sure why), so my vote is to just go for Pidgin. Coincidentally, I happened to read about how "Kodak" was named today - it was apparently a completely made up word that Eastman came up with (he liked the letter "K"!). It is obviously too late for something like that at this point, I just thought it was interesting. I noticed that pidgin-im.com and .org are both available. -D |
