Initial Comment:

Useful for those with dual-boot machines and want to
keep their logs in one place, and contiguous across
platforms.  The setting can be enabled in the
preferences Logging tab.

Not in windows though.  In windows, the only way around it
is by using a "shortcut", which will not be resolved
properly by gaim when writing to the log.

This can be easily done with a symlink.
