I noticed this on the official Yahoo! Windows client yesterday (version
5.5.0.1244).  I have myself on my buddy list (Windows wont let me add me,
but gaim did :) ) and I changed my status from an away message back to
"online" and I looked at my list several hours later and it still showed my
away message next to my name.  So I suppose it's an issue on Yahoo!'s end.
