We looked at a patch by rwscott to add gnutls support, but it was indefinitally postponed when we discovered that 1)gnutls does not build outside of a gnu environment, ie it does not build on solaris, macosx, win32, irix, or *bsd 2)the gnutls people are not interested in changing this situation. given that gaim is used on all of the above platforms and some not mentioned as well as linux, this intransigence on the part of the gnutls people causes us to reject the use of their library. luke -- -This email is made of 100% recycled electrons. |
