I'm not talking about a lot of per-buddy functionality. This is the way I
touhgt it should be done:

If I have an alias specified in my .blist file, then that alias should be
used, if not, then the nick should be automatically updates. As easy as
that.

That is talking about automatic nick updates, but independently of that I
think a tooltip showing the remote nick whould help a lot.
