yes, the close button was removed, we are planning on putting an x button
in each tab like galeon has, but rob hasn't had a chance yet.  cvs is a
work in progress, and now that we have more than 2 developers, is
actually being used for its intended purpose: development, and letting
multiple developers have access to the most recent version of each file
at any given time.  

this by the way, is great for people who want to help out by submitting
patches.

robot101 has talked of writting a plugin to interact with a session
manager, but i'm not sure if what you describe would become possible with
that.
