Gaim has no such option. In theory it shouldn't need one, it should format your text as appropriate for the protocol, and the client that receives it should display it correctly. Since it sounds like this isn't happening, there must be a bug in either Gaim or your mate's client. Since your mate isn't complaining about everyone, that makes me suspect Gaim. But without knowing what version of Gaim and what protocol you're using to talk to your friend, (also your friends' client would be useful information), it's difficult to track down and fix such a bug. --Tim |
