[Gaim-devel] MSN friendly name exposed to plugins

Is the API to set the MSN friendly name exposed in such a way that
plugins can access it?
If not, is there a reason that gaim_connection_set_display_name does
not set it. I noticed that  the dialog, the MSN prpl plugin uses to
set the friendly name, defaults to the name set with
gaim_connection_set_display_name.
