Thanks Gideon. How to change blist.xml? I can't find it in irc.c :( Avanish Gideon Guillen <bla...@fa...> wrote: On Wed, 2004-06-09 at 11:35, Avanish WH wrote: > I can remove a buddy in Buddy window by calling > gaim_blist_remove_buddy(b); > but when i launch Gaim again, the buddy still appear and i find it's > still in blist.xml. > How to remove buddy from blist.xml? I believe you can't do that. Well at least for protocols in gaim wherein the storage of the buddy list in the server is supported. For those protocols, blist.xml just acts like a cache, just in case you may want to view your buddy list when you're offline on a certain protocol. I believe AIM, ICQ (using Oscar), MSN, Yahoo, and Jabber on gaim stores the buddy list on the server. To remove a buddy on the list, you must be online on that protocol and remove the buddies you want to remove from the gui. For protocols that don't support buddy list storage on the server (I think IRC is an example), removing the buddy in blist.xml might work. Anyway, this was the behavior on older versions of gaim for all protocols. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: GNOME Foundation Hackers Unite!
