Is this on Vista ?
I read last week something about a similar problem.
Or maybe I am imagining things...

I think the reply should have been to the list. Forwarding.

At this time, I have no idea of where the problem lies. Have you got a
firewall in your router/adsl modem/wireless router?

We have been using GAIM for almost 2 years now and all of a sudden a
month or so ago we started to get this error message.  Nothing on the
computer has changed.  I am the administrator on the computer so my
kids can not make any changes.  I even double checked last night and I
have never had a firewall installed on the computer and the MS system
firewall is not enabled either.

Any other suggestions?  My kids really want this back and I do not
want to have to go to AOL since it screws up the computer so bad.

I'll try to confirm the precise error number, but this looks similar
to a problem a coworker had.

The solution was to remove Gaim from the Windows Firewall exceptions,
then add it again.
