I migrated two of my other projects on sf.net.  Went without a hitch, though admittedly, they are a fraction of a fraction of the size of Gaim.

I would argue that subversion is significantly better than cvs, not 'marginally better' (though your point remains).

It looks like sf.net has set up an automatic migration script which, if it works, would mean very little effort in the migration process for Gaim.
