I'm curious to know if people like using the message boards, or mailing lists for posts? Personally, I think that using one or the other is better than having both of them. Two reasons: 1. You keep everyone together instead of having two different 'camps,' and 2) It is easier to follow on archive than two.
For my part, I can go with either the message boards or a mailing list. The message boards (on sourceforge at least) I have found to be cumbersome to use on very active boards. The mailing lists, on the other hand, can be read either though your mail client of choice, or through a web interface (granted, it's not as good as the message boards though...).
What do people think? Would this make a good survey topic? ;-)
