I'm trying to use Gaim on Fedora Core 5 to connect to MSN through a squid proxy, with no success. I've tried the version that comes with fedora (1.x) and now I'm trying 2.0.0b3, same problem.
In the same machine, booting from windows, I can connect using MSN messenger, so I think it's not a squid problem.
I'm configuring gaim to use http proxy w/ authentication. If I check 'Use http method", I get "Write error". If I uncheck "use http proxy", I get "Proxy server don't allow tunneling of port 1863".
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

Ops, if I uncheck "use http method"....
No help on this???
The MSN HTTP Method should work in beta3.1 or newer.
Now I'm running beta5, same problem.
Ops, it really worked in version beta3.1. Strange, bacause it does not work neither in beta3 nor in beta5.
