In beta 4, I could connect to my Yahoo account, and then add a "buddy" from hotmail.com. In beta 5, I can still connect to the yahoo account and access buddies in yahoo, but the same buddies that I could access in beta 4, are unavailable to me in beta 5. The icon is grayed out with a note: not in server list. Any thoughts. Should I reload beta 4?

Try re-adding the buddy. This would happen to me a lot through all the betas. Not sure what it was but just delete the buddy then add him/her again. It should work. This only happened with Yahoo for me.

I'm having the same problem, bertwhit. I know my Yahoo buddy has an active account but for whatever reason it says he's not on the server list(?) Deleting his account and readding it (as some have suggested to fix this problem) didn't work. Noone seems to know what's causing this or how to fix it...

I had the same issue. The fix was right-clicking on the name and if I remember, there was an option to either add contact or add to list/server - this fixed my exact same problem you guys are mentioning...

In beta5 I don't see anything in the menu (when I right-click) to add to list/server. There is an add buddy option, but this doesn't help. I've even tried this when I know the "buddy" is active in MSN messenger, but for some reason in beta5, it's not recognizing this.
